Olga Motinova: “We are taking help to the gray zone, spiritual culture. We drive Ukraine there ”
Each of our heroes of immigrants is a stable person, changing or continuing the line of his professional activity, from year to year, develops and improves, making every effort to help those in need and return them at least a drop of hope for a bright future and a better life. Today we will talk about a strong woman, Olga Motinova, who, while continuing to overcome the length of the war, supports the spirit, inspires respect and inspires her with good deeds and sincere love for the unusual that is called Ukraine.
By 2014, Olga personified a true entrepreneur with a lot of knowledge and 25 years of experience behind her. Heading the public organization “Association of Entrepreneurs“ Time to Be Together ”, Olga Motinova, as a leader, knew exactly what she wanted from life, and always cared not only about herself but also about the people around her.
In May 2014, forced to move from the city of Krasny Luch in the Luhansk region to the city of Kiev, Olga did not change her life principles and beliefs. Leaving entrepreneurship in the past, the woman firmly decided to leave for the public sector, engage in volunteer activities and help not only IDPs and the ATO, but also ordinary Ukrainian.
Olga, please tell us what your Public Organization “Aid Coordination Center” does?
The staff of our Coordination Assistance Center, as always, has a lot to do. We help immigrants, soldiers, families of the dead. Also, the Center is engaged in the Orphanage in the Vyshgorod region, helps disabled people, families with many children, even Kiev residents seek help.
Information help: Help Center is a charitable platform created as a result of the association of NGOs «Biznes-Perspektyva», NGO «Obʺyednannya pidpryyemtsiv «Chas buty razom», NGO «Koordynatsiynyy tsentr dopomohy» and the Independent Community Initiative «Druzi Ukrayiny». All participating organizations maintained their independence, however, they coordinated for the common and extremely relevant goal of our time — to help participants in the anti-terrorist operation in the Donbass and their families, internally displaced persons from the war zone.
In the process, the Center has significantly expanded its activities. Now, it helps not only people affected by the war in the East, but also children without parental care, persons with disabilities, and other vulnerable groups of the population, which, unfortunately, the state is not sufficiently concerned about now. The center provides psychological, legal, medical and health, humanitarian, cultural and educational and many other types of assistance. Also, contributes to the employment of ATO participants, internally displaced persons.
Areas of work of the Coordination Center: implementation of rehabilitation programs for the purpose of social adaptation; conducting cultural, educational, health and other events; assistance in obtaining humanitarian, legal, medical, social assistance, benefits, discounts on consumer goods and the like.
In order to get help, you should visit the Center in Kiev at the address: st. Zoological, 6-A, and, together with the coordinator, create a personal social card, jointly identifying all issues that need to be addressed.
All services of the Coordination Assistance Center are free.
Over the three years of its existence, the Public Organization “Coordination Help Center” can please with its results?
Oh sure. From our organization, I joined the Ministry of Temporarily Occupied Territories and Internally Displaced Persons as a curator. In general, the Coordination Center provides a large number of services and a large number of people are registered with it. In addition, we drive both to the gray zone and to the front line. I want to note that these are not only humanitarian missions, but also spiritual ones, because the concert program has long become an integral part of all our visits. Also, several grants in which we won together with other public organizations are what we can be proud of. Among them, in particular, the project «How to open your own business.» Therefore, clothing, grocery sets, concerts and theaters, free medical advice — this is an inexhaustible list of services that our public organization provides.
Olga, tell me, please, in your opinion, have you made the most and most important achievement during your work at the Public Organization «Koordinatsionnyy Tsentr Pomoshchi»?
In our opinion, in order for Donbass to integrate, we need to do everything necessary here so that the IDPs become better off and all other territories want to return to Ukraine. And we do it. We help our fellow countrymen, go to the gray zone. To the elderly, children, youth, desperate, jerking people who do not understand where the truth is and where is the lie, so that they know what Ukraine needs and are not left to its mercy. So that they know and understand that we are just like them, and Donbass is Ukraine. We bring help there, spiritual culture. We drive Ukraine there.

I know that there people are waiting for us, and here in our organization all those in need can contact us at any time. And I am proud that we, the settlers, were able to “pull ourselves together” and find the strength in ourselves to help people, and not only the settlers, but everyone who needs this help. After all, the main thing is not just to go forward, the main thing is not to forget about the people, and those who are here, and those who are there.
What is most surprising about your work? How about you, does it have drawbacks?
Perhaps it is surprising that you want to hug something that cannot be hugged. The disadvantage is probably fatigue, which over the years accumulates more and more. You see, from year to year we live in hopes that the authorities will finally hear us, see what we are, and deserve respect. After all, we have taken the side of Ukraine and we want to continue to “maintain order”. And I am truly grateful to those people who are not indifferent to organizations such as ours. They really help. And these are not politicians, they will not so much help as they use it as a PR.
“I am truly grateful to those people who are not indifferent to organizations such as ours. They really help. And these are not politicians, they will not so much help as they use it as a PR. These are private entrepreneurs, businessmen, philanthropists who are ready to give a part of themselves to those organizations that are truly “living” and for which there are people. Like us, they are ready to help with specific actions and specific actions. After all, they don’t want people to come from Ukraine, but, on the contrary, they are trying to do everything so that they stay on their native land, develop and create ”
It also surprises me when some people say that they are tired of the war. Then, I ask them, and what did you do? Maybe they bought at least one package of tea and transferred it to the front? Maybe they drew a drawing with their child and sent it to a military man, each of whom, by the way, really needs it, especially enjoying children’s drawings. In addition, children should know that we are at war and remember this. It’s expensive for my heart, you see. It is expensive that the soldiers are waiting for us, people in the gray zone are waiting for us, thanks to us for what we should not thank. This is probably the mission of our public organization, and I’m proud of it.

A considerable number of public organizations, the main activity of which is helping immigrants and the military, do not actually live up to expectations and do not bring the desired results. In your opinion, why is this happening?
I will say this, for example, the representatives of our public organization do not have time to attend various events, because we know that we have a bunch of important matters, the solution of which is always in the first place for us. In general, there is no time even to “look uphill”. At the same time, unfortunately, there are public organizations that are such only on paper. To come to vote at round tables is the only thing they are masters of. When you ask them “To whom and what services did you last provide?”, In response you hear only silence. It’s a shame, but there are a lot of such organizations.
“Our society must get rid of the «consumer» attitude. After all, you need to be able to not only take, but also give something in return. It will be products to be sent to the front, things for immigrants, and perhaps a children’s drawing for a courageous fighter, it does not matter. Everything and everyone matters”
